Unicorn Card, Cutting Instructions and Technique Tip

One of my favorite lines of products from our brand new mini-catalog (Expressions 2) is the Little Dreamer collection.  There is a paper packet, complements (embellishment pack), a scrapbooking workshop, and coordinating stamp sets and die cuts.  Oh my!

I created this fun little card using the Little Dreamer Paper Packet, one of the darling coordinating stamp sets, and a few versatile embellishments.  I've added a complete list of the products I used on this card at the very end of this post, complete with links and photos for your convenience.

Not only is this card cute and really quick to make, I am so in love with the sentiment stamp, aren't you?  Unicorns are all the rage right now, and not just for little girls. We big girls seem to have gotten into the action too.  Who wouldn't love to receive this card?

Here are the paper measurements for this card so that you can easily make it yourself:

White Daisy Card Base:  just purchase a package of our bulk White Daisy Standard Cards and Envelopes, or if you prefer to cut your own card bases, you'll need a 8.5" x 5.5" piece of white cardstock, folded in half.  In addition...
  • White Daisy Cardstock (sentiment piece): 2" x 2 1/4"
  • Unicorn Background and Texture Paper: 2 3/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Multi-Colored Dots Background and Texture Paper: 2 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Thistle Colored Zip Strip (or 1/2" strip of Background and Texture Paper): 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Technique Tip: To fray the twine like I did on my card, just take your piercing tool (or even a straight pin) and separate the fibers so that your look is frayed. Easy and cute!
Look at these fun Little Dreamer products. This is just a sampling. To see them all, click here.
